About Guardian Angel, Inc and its' Mission
Creating Guardian Angel
Guardian Angel, Inc was originally an entity called Unicorns. It was created by Dr. Lopez-Dawson alongside her her three children, Devon, Bryce and Bryana as a Home-Schooling Business project. The initial goal was to help all three children learn about business from the beginning stages of its’ creation to the everyday ins and outs of running and managing a business. Now, the Unicorns facility houses Guardian Angel, Inc and the WOW and the Threads of Love Programs mangaed by GA Inc.
The Guardian Angel, Inc children's foundation was established in the Fall of 2006, by Dr. Ana Lopez-Dawson. She had a vision and now a focused purpose in helping children and teens, from all walks of life, inlcuding the underpriviledged, children with disabilities and those with a history of abuse and neglect.
Our Mission
Via Guardian Angel, Inc's children's programs in Pella Iowa, we aim to empower and equip children and teens with the inner knowledge that they are WORTH something. We do this through activities, programs and workshops that cater to building their self-esteem and teach them LIFE skills.
About Dr. Lopez-Dawson
For approximately 20 years, I have proudly served children and families
in Iowa. I have extensive experience working for the underprivileged, and
a deep-rooted passion for helping those in need. One of my strongest endeavors
has been the development of services for the Latino community in central
Iowa, while working with countless children, teens, and adults with a history
of neglect and abuse. I am a strong believer in empowering others to help
them to reach new heights that they may have otherwise never imagined possible.
